Course Description: Complex Numbers

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental concepts, operations, and applications of complex numbers. Beginning with their historical origins and mathematical foundations, the course explores the algebraic, geometric, and polar representations of complex numbers. Topics include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and powers of complex numbers; the modulus and argument; complex conjugates; and the use of Euler’s formula.

The course also covers advanced topics such as solving polynomial equations, De Moivre’s Theorem, and applications in engineering, physics, and computer science. Learners will develop problem-solving skills through practical exercises and real-world examples, building a strong foundation for further study in mathematics and related disciplines.
